The Holt School of Natural Healing is one of North America's top rated
schools with 30 years teaching experience in the Natural Healing arts.
The Holt School remains dedicated to bringing you the best of what Natural
Healing can offer in terms of health, peace and balance in your life.
As founding members of the Reflexology Association of Canada, RRCO, and our own school, the Holts
have greatly contributed to the success and popularity of Reflexology & Natural Healing in Canada today. Their certificates are
used by their graduates across Canada, and the world - U.S.A., Barbados,
Sweden, Isreal, Italy, Germany, Great Britan, Sri Lanka and more.

A Brief History of our Time
We began to teach Reflexology in 1976 and continue to share our knowledge today. We have been fortunate enough to teach thousands
of students across the country. We began with a single student in Toronto
and eventually grew to lecturing groups of 100 or more across Canada by
1984. Pam & Alan have promoted Reflexology on Canada A.M., as well
as various other T.V. shows, newspaper and magazine articles, and public
and professional lectures. During one of the more interesting shows, the
interviewer partially fell asleep while having Hand Reflexology, a better
demonstration of the simple power of Reflexology than we could have arranged!
By 1985 the school found that teaching students in smaller groups was
a more effective means to transmit knowledge than mass transmission,
a practice we continue today. We have taught all manner of students from
international medical doctors from Europe & Asia to people
with no previous experience, but a will to learn. In 1991, we
introduced Body Reflexology. Over the last decade, this modality has been
integrated with Chinese medical techniques, and evolved into Acupressure
/ Tuina / Chinese Massage. At the Holt School, health is not an ultimate
goal, but rather a path, and as such we are continually extending the
depth of our own learning. In 1994, we began to offer the Aromatherapy.
Many of our students are now working in private practice, spas and on
their lucky families. One spa would only hire Reflexologists form our
school because of the high standards to which we aspire and instill. Students
from all of our courses are respected for their professional levels of
performance. In 1989, after visiting, working & establishing links
with the Open International University of Complementary Medicines in Sri
Lanka , the Holt school expanded to teach Clinical Acupuncture, and has
progressed today to include the theory of Chinese Medicine, integrated with
Western Herbology. We emphasize presenting Traditional Chinese Medicine
and Acupuncture in a clear, organized, Western teaching method, with professional
standardized hand outs. All of the above was achieved thanks to the quality
of our students, and the effort they have expended in making our school
a success.
Teachers
Pamela & Alan work together to provide their students
with a professional, clean and harmonious learning environment. Students
develop their knowledge of healing to serve others in a caring manner,
allowing them to offer a wider availability of natural healing methods
for humanity. Efficient team work & communication give each student
an opportunity to maximize his/her potential. The integrity of both the
Educational & Business Practices of Holt School are of a highly
reputable standard. The Holt school has 30 years of stability permanence.
In this time we have achieved the perfect balance between natural health
knowledge and and teaching and communication of that knowledge. The School
is a registered Educational Institution which provides Income Tax Deductible
Receipts.

How do I choose a Reflexology School / Course ?
First, ask yourself some questions.
Why do you want to learn Reflexology ?
- General interest with a Casual Course?
Or
- Clinical practice Certification?
What do you want to learn?
- What do you want to learn about the feet?
We provide a very thorough course which includes 26 different Reflexology Techniques. With our experience we are able to comfortably put a wealth of information into the hours we spend together. It is easy for us to give you a working knowledge of foot, head, & hand Reflexology in our comprehensive (Foot) Reflexology Course.
How important is location ?
- Think about commute times, and stress. Take a practice drive to the school's location.
We are located in a peaceful, quiet setting with a ravine view. It is the bottom level of our home, used for teaching and treating patients. It has been professionally finished with a large, bright classroom with a country view. The school has it's own entrance at the rear of the house, with a garden path leading you to the entrance.
What are the qualifications of the Teachers?
- Is the teacher someone you could see yourself learning from ?
- Do you feel comfortable around them ?
- Do you have friends you can ask to see if their teaching style fits your learning needs?
- What experience does the Teacher have teaching Reflexology?
(see above for ours)
Will you get enough attention?

How stable is the School?

Is teaching a job or a passion?
We try to impart as much knowledge as possible. If we have learned something, we do our best to share it with you..
How long is the course ?
We teach Reflexology in five days so you have more time to absorb what's happening. We also teach the course in ten 3hr. weekly sessions. We offer advanced training in Head & Foot Reflexology. Although there are review questions in the course, we provide a Review Day about one month before the exam to enchance your Reflexology knowledge and give you more confidence.

Almost every class we give you the practical part of what we have taught. we believe you learn by doing. We personally demonstrate in class and then do the exercises with you.
